Francisco Lindor adds another homer

On a mission

Francisco Lindor blew up his fourth home run in his last five games, leading the Mets’ 5-3 victory in the friendly. The shortstop also doubled as part of its 3-in-4 performance and has 1,074 OPS in the Grapefruit League. Lindor and the Mets continue to discuss a possible extension of the contract.

Stroman fight

Marcus Stroman allowed three runs in nine strokes over five entries. The Marlins scored all their runs against the right-hander in the fourth and fifth innings, while he increased his pitch count to 76.

Caught my eye

Mike Piazza, at camp this week as a special instructor, worked with Kevin Pillar on swing mechanics before the game. Pillar scored 2 out of 4 against the Marlins and increased his Grapefruit League average to 0.324.

Wednesday Schedule

Taijuan Walker is the starting pitcher against the Cardinals on Jupiter. Other players scheduled to play at the Mets include Dellin Betances, Miguel Castro and Jeurys Familia.
