At Friday’s press conference, Doocy noted that Biden had a list of journalists to turn to and that Fox News was the only member of the five networks’ press pool not to ask questions of the president.

“I’m curious as to whether this is the administration’s official policy,” said Doocy.

“We’re talking, aren’t we?” Psaki replied. “And do I answer your questions every time I come to the instruction room? Has the president answered questions from you since taking office, yes or no? “

Doocy said that Biden sometimes answers his questions shouted at events at the White House, but that when Biden has a list in front of him, he never calls Fox News, which dates back to the campaign.

“I’m just curious about the list he received,” said Doocy. “The only member of the five chain pool has never been present since he resumed personal events in Wilmington during the campaign.”

Psaki noted that she answers Doocy’s questions every day in the instruction room and that she appears regularly on “Fox News Sunday”.

“I would say that I am always happy to have this conversation with you, even about the amazing socks you are wearing today, and to have a conversation with yourself when we disagree,” she said. “The president answered your questions and I look forward to doing ‘Fox News Sunday’ this Sunday for the third time in the past few months.”

Biden answered questions from reporters in 10 different media outlets on Thursday during his first press conference as president, but avoided right-wing Fox News.

Doocy emerged as a regular sparring for Psaki in the daily briefings, challenging the White House with specific questions about immigration and other hot topics of the day.

The Fox News reporter is also known for trying to get Biden to answer impromptu questions at scheduled events and to ask questions that other media have avoided on topics like the president’s son, Hunter Biden.
