It’s time to start thinking about a room stimulus check? In just under a year, Washington lawmakers approved three rounds of payments to help individuals and families struggling to survive during the pandemic. The IRS has just started sending the third payment of $ 1,400 (calculate your total stimulus), and some are already asking whether Congress will approve a fourth check.
A group of 10 Democratic senators is already asking President Joe Biden to include more stimulus payments in the next spending account, the Washington Post reported – on a recurring basis, no less. “As you prepare your Build Better plan for long-term economic recovery,” wrote the senators in a letter to Biden, “Know that we are ready to work with you in support of recurring direct checks.”

A new ‘stimulus’ check may not be the same as a new ‘stimulus’ bill
What just passed American Rescue Plan is the first spending package in 2021, with $ 1,400 checks, $ 300 extra in weekly unemployment benefits and an expanded Child tax credit aligned. Biden’s management is already working hard on the sequel, a package that Biden refers to as his Build Back Better plan. The proposal would finance investments in the country’s energy, transportation, broadband and water systems, for example, and may not include stimulus checks.

A future stimulus check can be extremely ‘targeted’
The new American Rescue Plan it does not authorize just a check. In fact, it contains three direct payments designed to help struggling individuals and families. It is possible that a future account will increase or introduce more money through direct checks that go to specific groups of recipients, such as parents who earn below a certain income or people who are unemployed.
Here are the three forms of direct checks on the March 2021 invoice.
Stimulus checks: The new single stimulus payments send up $ 1,400 a piece for those that meet the requirements.
Child tax credit: An expansion of Child tax credit for 2021 sends eligible families $ 3,600 for each child under the age of 6 and $ 3,000 for children aged 6 and over, in periodic payments until the end of the year.
Federal unemployment bonus: One month federal unemployment check through September 6, up to $ 300 a month, in addition to state benefits for unemployed workers.
Congress has already approved a handful of aid this year.

Here are more ways in which Congress could send money this year
Recurring payments: The Biden infrastructure project is the next likely place for Congress to provide more funding. This is where Democratic senators are calling on Biden to push for recurrent stimulus checks during the pandemic.
Minimum wage increase: Senate Democrats at the last minute tore off a clause in American Rescue Plan to increase the minimum wage. But proponents will seek to include the $ 15 hourly wage increase in another account. “If any senator believes that this is the last time he will vote whether or not to give 32 million Americans a raise, he is sadly mistaken,” he said. Senator Bernie Sanders tweeted March 5th. “We will continue to bring this up and we will do it because it is what the American people demand and need.”
Extension of child tax credit after 2021: The new account expands Child Tax Credit, sending periodic payments to low- and middle-income families with children, but only until the end of 2021. According to the White House press secretary, Jen Psaki, Biden wants to make the Child Tax Credit permanent. Others, including Republican Senator Mitt Romney, also support making credit permanent.
Renew federal unemployment payments after September: Along with recurring payments, 10
Democratic senators, in their letter to Biden, requested that he also extend federal unemployment benefits beyond September. “We ask that you include automatic extensions of unemployment insurance linked to economic conditions in your long-term Build Back Better economic plan,” they wrote.
