Four more women file lawsuits against Texan quarterback Deshaun Watson, says lawyer

HOUSTON – Rusty Hardin, Houston Texans quarterback attorney Deshaun Watson, confirmed that the athlete was sued by four more women, bringing the total number of lawsuits to 20.

Lawyer Tony Buzbee first posted about the four additional lawsuits on Friday night on Instagram. However, on Saturday night, they have not yet appeared on the district secretary’s website.

The civil lawsuits we examined allege that Watson engaged in obscene behavior with women he hired for massages, exposing himself to them, moving his body in a way that forced them to touch his penis and coerced them into touching it in a sexual way.

The incidents cited in the actions would have occurred between March 2020 and March 2021.

Most of the incidents would have occurred in Texas, but two incidents would have occurred in Georgia and California.

“This case is about female empowerment, the resumption of power,” said Buzbee, the Houston lawyer who represents all women, during a press conference last week. “Those women who took a step forward knew that they would face contempt and ridicule. All agreed to plead the court’s minimum jurisdictional limits. And they bring up these cases for a single reason – to prevent further misconduct by this defendant or any others like him. “

Watson denied the accusations and said in a statement that “he never treated any woman with anything other than the utmost respect”.

The NFL opened an investigation into Watson’s conduct last week.

Watson is a star quarterback for the Houston Texans. In September 2020, he signed a four-year contract extension worth almost $ 160 million. Dissatisfied with the team’s direction, Watson requested an exchange in January 2021.

Note that none of the women are identified by name in the lawsuits. Instead, each is referred to as “Jane Doe”.
