Four girls arrested for murder at Louisiana Walmart

Four girls were arrested on Saturday for the fatal stabbing of a 15-year-old girl at a Louisiana Walmart, officials said.

The girls, aged 12 to 14, were involved in a fight with the oldest victim at the store in Lake Charles, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office said on Sunday on Facebook.

The victim died in a local hospital.

One of the suspects was charged with second-degree murder, officials said. The other three are facing a second-degree murder charge.

Calcasieu parish sheriff Tony Mancuso deplored the violence.

“This is the third homicide in six months involving children aged 11 to 16,” said Mancuso, according to WWL-TV.

“They come from all backgrounds, all races. I feel that we have a problem in our community that we will have to face and resolve. “

Mancuso asked the community’s parents for help.

“I’m asking you tonight for our parents to take control,” said Mancuso, reported the vehicle.

“This is not something we can police ourselves about,” he said. “I just don’t feel like this is a police case. This is a problem for parents. “
