Four dead, three hospitalized in a car accident in northwest Fresno

FRESNO, California (KFSN) – Police are investigating an accident that killed four people and hospitalized three others in northwest Fresno.

The three-car accident happened near the intersection of Palm and Bullard just before midnight. The road has since been closed.

Investigators say a white truck with five people in it crashed with a Ford Mustang and Mini Cooper.

Three of the five people inside the truck died from injuries.

The other two are in the hospital, one of them in critical condition.

The Mustang driver also died in the accident. The Mini Cooper driver was taken to the hospital.

Crews close the area as the impact of the collision sends debris down the road

Investigators are still at the scene and say it is too early in the investigation to determine the cause of the accident, but say speed was probably a factor.
