Four advance league games for the conference

Entering the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs, seven Gamecocks were allocated to four of the eight teams. They all played on Sunday in clashes between Cleveland and Kansas City on the AFC and Tampa Bay and New Orleans on the NFC.

Clevelandight end Kyle Markway was promoted from Browns training squad to active squad to face former teammates Rashad Fenton and Chris Lammons, who are with Kansas City. The Chiefs overtook the Browns, sending the former Carolina defender to the AFC Championship for the second straight season. Fenton was inactive due to an ankle injury and Markway and Lammons recorded no statistics.

Tampa Bay and kicker Ryan Succop (and defensive attack Kobe Smith on the training team) faced New Orleans and the tight end Jared Cook And security DJ Swearinger. In the third meeting of the year between NFC South opponents, Succop scored three field goals and three extra points in the win, while Cook had an expensive fumble along with five 28-yard receptions and Swearinger had no recorded statistics.
