Former Yankees star Johnny Damon says he is a ‘Trump supporter’ during his arrest, video shows

Former New York Yankees star Johnny Damon fought with police officers during his recent arrest for DUI, shows a video camera released by the Windermere Police Department.

The body camera of Damon’s Florida prison was released on Tuesday and included him claiming he was in favor of the police and a supporter of former President Donald Trump.

“Believe me, I’m Blue Lives Matter,” said Damon. “What are you doing now? We are all policemen. Guys, we are all policemen.”

“Hey, bro, I’m a nice guy and I know people are trying to attack me because I’m a Trump supporter,” added Damon.

The filming of the body camera lasted about two hours. He showed Damon and his wife, Michelle Mangan-Damon, disobeying the police, which led to a fight.

It also included Damon himself dropping the officer’s body camera on the floor.

“Don’t touch me,” Mangan-Damon replied to one of the officers. “Do not touch me.” After she said that, she broke free and left.

Damon was stopped on February 18 after the police realized his SUV was swerving and ended up hitting a curb. His blood alcohol level was between 0.294 and 0.300, which was almost four times the state limit of 0.08.

Damon was hit by a DUI, and his wife was charged with battery and resistance to arrest, according to clickorlando.com.

Damon, who has played 18 seasons in the MLB, has spent most of his career with the Yankees, Boston Red Sox and Kansas City Royals. Twice World Series champion with the Red Sox and Yankees in 2004 and 2009, respectively, Damon was also twice an All-Star.
