Former talk show host Larry King is hospitalized with COVID-19

Legendary host Larry King is in a Los Angeles hospital with COVID-19, according to several media reports today.

The 87-year-old man, who became a household name as a host on CNN’s “Larry King Live” for decades after a successful season as a host on the radio show “The Larry King Show” in the 1970s, is isolated and not is allowed to have visits from his family, according to Showbiz411, who first reported the news.

King is being treated at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, according to ABC News.

King’s representatives did not immediately return requests for comment.

The Brooklyn native left his program on CNN in 2012, but has continued to work ever since, performing 2012-20 “Larry King Now” on Hulu and RT America. He also hosts the weekly “Politicagem com Larry King” on these channels.

King faced several health problems, including a major heart attack in 1987, the removal of a cancerous tumor in 2017, angioplasty in 2019 and a stroke in March 2019.
