Another quarterback is joining the Big Blue Nation. On Friday afternoon, Will Levis announced that he is moving from Penn State to the University of Kentucky.

Levis entered the transfer portal last week. He will graduate this spring and come to Lexington with three years of eligibility.
Originally from Madison, Connecticut, connections by the new offensive coordinator Liam Coen in the northeast played a significant role in Levis’ landing. A former three-star contender, he was a redshirt freshman when Penn State lost to Kentucky in the 2018 Citrus Bowl.
In the last two seasons, the 1.80 meter, 225 pound athlete has had two career starts. Levis completed 61 of 102 passes (59.8%) for 644 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. Often used by James Franklin as a “change of pace” option that could run the ball much better than Sean Clifford, his best game happened last year in Nebraska. Losing 21-3 when he entered the game, Levis shot for 219 yards, including a 74-yard touchdown pass to Pat Freiermuth, and ran for 61 yards in 18 runs as the Nittany Lions arrived just before making an incredible comeback in Omaha .
Despite being used as a runner, Levis has a cannon. He has no problem throwing darts with his right arm. Coen will have to help you use touch more as a passerby once you reach Lexington.

Kentucky fans learned in 2019 that there are no “many defenders”. After finishing in the last six FBS places in pass yards per game in the previous two seasons, Wildcats need all the help they can to improve their pass attack. By adding Levis, Coen is injecting more talent into the quarterback competition between Beau Allen and Joey Gatewood. The best man can win.
