Former NFL star Keyshawn Johnson shared touching news on Monday.
The three-time former Pro Bowl receiver announced that his daughter Maia Johnson-Hightower had passed away. She was 25 years old.

“It is with incredible sadness that I must share the news about the death of my beautiful daughter Maia. Maia, as my first daughter, has been the joy of my life and that of her Mother Shikiri, ”he wrote in a tweet. .
“She came into our lives when we were adults and has been a constant beloved presence for both of us. We are heartbroken and devastated by her loss. Shikiri, Maia’s brothers, our family and I thank you for your thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. .

It was not clear how Johnson’s daughter died. She was one of Johnson’s four children and cousin of the New Orleans Saints wide receiver, Michael Johnson.
Keyshawn Johnson has played 11 seasons in the NFL with the New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dallas Cowboys and Carolina Panthers. He won a Super Bowl ring during his career.
