Former Jets coach Rex Ryan believes in the magic of Lambeau Field.
When talking about the Green Bay Packers on ESPN stand up, Ryan said he believes the Packers are the best NFL team at the moment.
Ryan also believes that in a possible Super Bowl clash with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, the Packers would win.
“They are peaking at the right time,” said Ryan. “No one, and I mean absolutely no one, is going to Lambeau Field in the playoffs and beat them. Honestly, if Green Bay takes this team to Tampa for the Super Bowl, if the Kansas City Chiefs are there, I think Green Bay will beat them. “
Ryan added that he does not think the Packers would be playing the way they are because they “massacred the draft”, but says his performance on the field has changed his mind.
The Packers currently hold the seed in the NFC and can gain the advantage of playing at home during the playoffs with a victory on Sunday against the Bears or if the Seattle Seahawks lose to the San Francisco 49ers.
The Chiefs currently have a record of 14-1 and have already secured the seed in AFC. The Chiefs rolled over their opponents using their explosive attack. The Chiefs average 425.7 yards per game, the highest in the NFL this season. The Chiefs’ defense gave up the sixth lowest points per game (21.6).
The Super Bowl LV will be played on February 7 in Tampa, Florida.
