Sean Kennedy, the former bassist of Australian band I Killed the Prom Queen, died at the age of 35.
According to a report by New Fury Media on Wednesday, members of Australia’s music community confirmed Sean’s death by posting tributes on social media.
Brag Media reported on Wednesday that the metal and hardcore musician “unfortunately passed away after taking his own life”.

Sean’s former bandmate Michael Crafter shared an exciting post on Facebook on Wednesday, honoring his late friend.
“For years, we stood side by side on stage or in photos of the band. We slept on the floor, in vans, airplanes and somehow managed to tour the world, ‘wrote the 39-year-old singer.
‘Time has passed for [sic] fast. We go through ups and downs on the road and after all we’ve been through, you’ll always be my friend. Over the years, I am happy that we have always been there for each other.

He added: ‘When I called you last week, I didn’t think it would be the last. I wish I could say goodbye. I love and I will always miss you mate. ‘
Meanwhile, Ahren Stringer of The Amity Affliction shared a series of photos of him with Sean on Instagram, reflecting on their friendship.
‘You were unique, @skdtd, my brother, my friend, my confidant,’ wrote the fellow bassist.

Sean joined the Adelaide band in 2003.
He later became the bassist for the hardcore punk band Deez Nuts, after replacing former bassist Jon Green in 2014.
