Jeremy Pruitt will reconnect with Joe Judge on the New York Giants coaching staff for the 2021 season.
The Giants added a notable name to their coaching staff.
According to Dan Duggan of The Athletic, Jeremy Pruitt, recently fired from the University of Tennessee, a technician at the University of Tennessee will join the team in a role that has not yet been revealed. Duggan reported the news on Wednesday night.
Pruitt was discharged from Tennessee earlier this month after evidence of a recruitment violation was discovered.

It was previously reported that Pruitt was working on an agreement to join Robert Saleh’s Jets team, but it ended up not paying off, according to Connor Hughes of The Athletic.
The #Jets are not adding Jeremy Pruitt to the technical team, a team source said. Not as a database trainer or assistant database trainer.

Although the role has not yet been revealed, there is a chance that Pruitt is working as a defense coach, either as an assistant or in the lead role. Prior to his three-year stint with the Volunteers, Pruitt was a defense technician on several programs, including 2010-12 Alabama. It is where he was previously connected with Joe Judge, who was a special team assistant for the 2009-11 Crimson Tide before his professional level tenure.
At the moment, the Giants employ Jerome Henderson as a defensive back coach and Anthony Blevins as a back coach. However, that area of the game needs all the help it can get. The Giants were tied for 16th in the NFL with 237.9 yards allowed per game, even with a star like James Bradberry in the cornerback.
Pruitt also worked as a coach for internal linebackers during his time in Bama in 2016-17, so that could be another option for his potential role in the Giants.
