Set for version 2021 on PC and consoles.
Artisan Studios unveiled Astria Ascending, a new Japanese-style RPG that is being developed in conjunction with Final Fantasy 7 writer Kazushige Nojima and FF12 composer Hitoshi Sakimoto.
Astria Ascending places players as one of the eight demigods – Harmony’s guardians charged with protecting the world of Orcanon from mysterious noises.
There are many more scenarios in the trailer below – including the mention of the delicious name “Harmelon”, an instinct-suppressing melon used to maintain harmony across the land – but the essence is that it is a turn-based RPG, side by side with some very beautiful hand-drawn art.

Kazushige Nojima and Hitoshi Sakimoto – who discuss the game in a separate video – are on board as set designers and composers, respectively, further consolidating Astria Ascending’s connection to the iOS JRPG Zodiac 2015: Orcanon Odyssey, on which the duo also worked.
Astria Ascending is scheduled to be released later this year and will be available on PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, Xbox Game Pass, Switch and Steam.
