Forget Meghan against Kate … Grandma Carole has enough in her hands with Pippa Middleton’s new baby

  • She described herself as a practical nanny with her grandchildren in the interview
  • Carole, 66, drove to the £ 17 million couple’s home in West London

Undoubtedly, Carole Middleton has already given a shoulder to cry for her eldest daughter after Meghan’s attack in that interview.

But last week, it was the sister of the Duchess of Cambridge, Pippa Middleton, who needed her mother’s help.

Dressed elegantly in black, glamorous grandma Carole, 66, was more than happy to help after Pippa’s daughter Grace Elizabeth Jane was born last Monday.

Weighing in at 6 pounds and 7 ounces, Grace is the second daughter of the husband of the head of the hedge fund, James Matthews, 45.

Carole, considered part of the support bubble for Pippa’s Covid, drove to the £ 17 million couple’s home in West London on Thursday afternoon.

After speaking with the newcomer, she took care of Arthur, two years old, while Pippa, 37, and James went out with Grace and her nanny.

For Carole, it may have been a welcome relief to be at the center of such a happy event after the unpleasant consequences of Harry and Meghan’s interview to tell everything about Oprah Winfrey.

In an interview with Good Housekeeping UK magazine earlier this year, she described herself as “practical” with her grandchildren.

“I want to run down the hills, climb the trees and go through the playground tunnel,” she said. ‘As long as I can, that’s what I’m doing. I cook with them, dance, ride a bike.

She added: ‘I am not someone to sit on the couch for long. I have a lot of energy. ‘

Pippa and James, who married in May 2017, are believed to have paid tribute to their respective families by choosing Elizabeth and Jane as middle names for their daughter.

Elizabeth is the middle name of Carole and Kate, while James’ mother is called Jane.
