Ford Bronco delayed again, customers will receive $ 495 sound-dampening headliners for free

Ford Bronco deliveries have already been delayed and are due to start this summer, but now it seems that, for some customers, the wait could take even longer. In an email sent to reserve holders on March 25, Ford announced that many anxious Bronco owners will end up receiving a 2022 model year due to production delays.

According to Automotive News, these delays have to do with supplier issues for some of the rigid roofs on the truck, specifically the “painted modular” or “double roof” option. Mark Grueber, marketing manager at Bronco, says that vehicles equipped with the “molded in color” pattern – unpainted plastic – are still on schedule and will be delivered in June.

To make up for that, Ford is doing a few things. First of all, if you want a molded roof in unpainted colors instead of the painted modular roof, you have until April 8 to update your original order. That would mean getting your Broco early. If you do, or if you already have the color molded roof selected, you will receive the optional soundproofing headliner – a $ 495 option – free of charge.

If you choose a fabric or leather interior, you will have this option automatically. In that case, you will receive a $ 495 discount on the final price of your Bronco. However, if you chose the vinyl interior, it is now a free option.

The Blue Oval also offers extras for those who decide to continue and maintain their optional truck with painted modular roof. According to Automotive news, certain customers can receive up to $ 1,000 in “FordPass” reward points that can be used for anything from oil changes to accessories, and carmaker Dearborn is reassuring customers that just because their trucks can be sold as models 2022, its price will not increase.

Ford claims to be investing millions to make sure deliveries are on time, but it is never good news when the flagship of an SUV brand is delayed after delay. On the positive side, Ford says 66 percent of deposits have been converted to full orders, so hopefully, when production is finally in full swing, Ford will have 125,000 closed sales. If you want to be one of them as soon as possible, it is better to lose that chic two-piece roof.
