Food Network star Kerry Vincent dead at 75

Kerry Vincent, a celebrated cake artist and judge for the Food Network Challenge, died at the age of 75.

Vincent’s passing was announced on Saturday by the Oklahoma State Sugar Art Show, a nonprofit organization she founded.

“It is with great sadness that I must report the death of Kerry Vincent earlier this evening,” the organization posted on its Facebook page, noting that she was battling an illness.

“Being a very private person when it comes to all things that are not cake, she did not want to disclose her illness to the public. Unfortunately her fight is over, but she will not feel any pain anymore. She will be sorely missed by everyone she touched through the sugar arts as [well] as personally, ”continued the post.

The organization added that no service will be performed at Vincent’s request.

Born in Wyalkatchem, Western Australia, Vincent also founded the Grand National Wedding Cake Competition. It was inducted into the International Cake Exploration Societé Hall of Fame and the Dessert Professional Hall of Fame in 2004 and 2010, respectively.

In addition to his duties as a judge on the “Food Network Challenge,” Vincent served as host of “Save My Bakery”.

Vincent leaves her husband, Doug.
