Food Network pulls out ‘America’s worst cooks’ – Champion accused of murder – Deadline

The Food Network cleared its last season of reality shows America’s worst cooks after his champion was arrested for the murder of a child.

Ariel Robinson, 29, was charged Tuesday with her husband Jerry Robinson for the death of a 3-year-old girl in South Carolina. They face charges of child molestation in the death of their adopted daughter.

On January 14, police found an indifferent child at the couple’s home in Simpsonville, South Carolina, the WHNS television station reported. The girl died of several blunt wounds, a medical examination revealed. She was identified as Victoria Smith, according to Greenville station.

Ariel Robinson won $ 25,000 in the last edition of America’s worst cooks, a competition between people with recognized deficient culinary skills. They pass through a training camp under the supervision of a famous chef in the competition.

The Food Network cleaned up all content related to the 20th season program. The competition was filmed in February 2020 and aired last year. The Food Network has yet to comment on the incident with Robinson.

Robinson was a newly retired teacher and a rising stand-up comedian. She also added three adopted children to her family in March 2020, after the series was recorded, but it is not clear whether the murdered child was one of them.
