Foo Fighters Notch Fifth UK No. 1 with ‘Medicine at Midnight’

Midnight remedy is Dave Grohl and Co’s fifth album in the UK number 1 after One by one (2002), Echoes, silence, patience and grace (2007), Wasting light (2011) and Concrete and Gold (2017).

It is the best-selling vinyl album as well, selling 10,500 copies to take first place on the UK’s official vinyl album chart.

Coming in second on the national album chart is The Weeknd’s The highlights (Republic Records / XO), released to capitalize on the Canadian R&B singer’s performance at the Super Bowl on February 7. It’s the UK’s most broadcast album of the week

Further down the list, experimental rock group Black Country and New Road reach fourth place with their debut album For the first time (Ninja Tune); 2020 Fleet Foxes Folk Costume Album Coast (Anti) re-enters the chart as No. 5 after its release in physical formats; and Jessie Ware What is your pleasure? (Virgin) returns to search in 9th position after the performance of the English singer of her new single “Remember Where You Are” on Graham Norton Show.

On the Official UK Singles Chart, Olivia Rodrigo’s (Interscope) driver’s license is at the summit for the fifth consecutive week.

The teenage ballad of the Californian actor and singer gets over 59,000 sales on the charts, including 7.2 million streams, to hold Nathan Evans’ “Wellerman” (Polydor) with 220 Kid & Billen Ted, who is in second place.
