Flu vaccines reduce the risk of COVID-19 symptoms in children, says study

According to the National Health Services (NHS) in the United Kingdom, the main symptoms of COVID-19 in children are similar to the symptoms faced by adults. Symptoms include new or continuous cough and loss or change in smell and taste. In addition, some may experience cold symptoms, such as a sore throat, congestion or runny nose and chills.

However, one of the significant symptoms recorded in children is multisystem inflammatory syndrome (MIS-C), which causes severe inflammation in various organs of the body, including the heart, lungs, blood vessels, kidneys, digestive system, brain, skin or eyes. A post-COVID child who has developed multisystemic inflammatory syndrome (MIS-C) may experience several symptoms, ranging from high temperature, skin rash and abdominal pain to diarrhea and shortness of breath.
