A South Carolina Gamecock defense holder has pledged to the state of Florida.
On Sunday, Jammie Robinson announced that he would join Keir Thomas in Tallahassee. Robinson, who is entering his third year of college, played 22 games during his career in South Carolina. Robinson thanked Gamecocks fans in his Twitter ad.

Robinson finished with 135 tackles, 3.5 tackles for defeat and two interceptions for Gamecocks. He played security and nickel during his two seasons in Columbia.
Thomas, a sixth-year defensive lineman, announced his move to the state of Florida on Saturday. Five former South Carolina players have announced transfer destinations since Shane Beamer was appointed head coach.
DT Makius Scott – Georgia Tech
DB Shilo Sanders – Jackson State
DB John Dixon – Penn State
RB Deshaun Fenwick – state of Oregon
DL Joseph Anderson – Purdue
Two other previous Gamecocks remain on the NCAA Transfer Portal: Quarterback Ryan Hilinski and tight end KeShawn Toney.
South Carolina added three players to the portal: Wide receiver from Georgia Tech Ahmarean Brown, South Georgia defensive defense David Spaulding and Delaware linebacker Darryl Williams.
Spaulding will compete for playing time in a secondary that will not have all the starters in the 2020 season. South Carolina has signed cornerbacks Marcellas Dial and Isaiah Norris outside Georgia Military College. Gamecocks remain in the mix for a handful of high school advocates, including Dontae Balfour (Starke, Florida) and Juwon Gaston (Montgomery, Ala.).
It is also possible that South Carolina will look to the transfer portal to find help in secondary school. Former Alabama / East Carolina defensive defense Nigel Knott is available. Another name to note is Roger Cray, a transfer from Western Kentucky, who played for the newly hired defensive coordinator Clayton White.
