The biggest challenge for Florida in the entire process of delivering the coronavirus vaccine has been supply, state governor Jeanette Nunez told Fox & Friends on Saturday.
“We want to make sure that, as these dosages arrive, we will not be wasting vaccine … we want to be sure that we will receive vaccines [the] arm as soon as possible, “Nunez explained in response to a question about his state’s deployment against New York.

Comparing the implementation of his state in New York, where vaccines were not being used due to strict standards, Nunez said that the State of the Sun prioritized the most vulnerable population, people aged 65 and over.
“Throughout the beginning of the pandemic, Governor [Ron] DeSantis focused and prioritized where he should be, in the elderly, and this is something he made very clear about the distribution of the vaccine, “said Nunez to co-host Jedediah Bila.
“For us, it is unfair for a 22-year-old to get the vaccine before his 74-year-old grandfather,” she said.

DeSantis announced a public-private partnership with Publix in 22 locations as a pilot program with the most demand from the elderly population.
Meanwhile, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo finally announced on Friday that his state would begin expanding eligibility for the vaccine for the elderly starting next week – hours after New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, begged him to loosen the regulations.
