Some images are worth a thousand words – but this photo only needs six: don’t try to fight the police.
A Florida man was taken into custody after police said he continued to attack two sheriff’s delegates and his K-9, despite losing and regaining consciousness twice – and taking a taser – during the fight, according to the WEARTV.
The reckless incident, which left the suspect with several scratches and bruises, as well as bruises on his brow, happened Thursday afternoon in Escambia County, in the state’s swamp.

A driver called the police to report that a man was trying to grab his steering wheel and steal his vehicle while getting in and out of traffic, according to the report.
When the victim left and returned home, he reportedly found the same suspect on his porch trying to break into his home, where his daughter was.
It is unclear how – or if – the two men met.

When the police arrived, they allegedly saw Eric Tyler Mathis, 25, hiding behind a blue tarp on the victim’s property.
The suspect told the sheriffs that it was his property and shouted for them to leave, according to the police station. Efforts to arrest him have encountered “violent resistance,” police said.
“He fought two deputies and resisted their efforts to use a taser,” investigators told the local station.
When the taser failed to subdue the suspect, deputies sent K-9 Zeek to Mathis. The suspect then tried to fight the police dog, allegedly grabbing him by the neck.

Mathis was eventually taken into custody and charged with theft, assault, assault, resistance to an officer and public order crime, officials said in a Facebook post.
His title was set at $ 136,000.
“We are also happy that neither the deputies nor the K-9 Zeek were seriously injured,” posted Sheriff Chip W. Simmons.

“A person cannot illegally enter someone else’s occupied vehicle, cannot illegally enter someone else’s occupied home, and cannot fight against the efforts of law enforcement officers. Let’s not forget the victims of these crimes and how terrible it must have been for them “, posting continued.
