A Florida golfer drowned in a lake when he went looking for a lost golf ball, officials said.
Hermilo Jazmines’ body was taken by divers on Sunday from a lake at the Oldsmar country club, according to the Pinellas County sheriff’s office.
MPs said Jazmines, 74, was last seen playing golf just after 7:30 am with a friend.
Witnesses told authorities that he went in search of his ball near hole three.
His golf cart was discovered still parked on the way, while his club was near the lagoon, officials said.
Investigators said they believed Jazmines fell into the water and drowned.
Authorities said his death did not appear to be suspicious, but an autopsy was ordered.
