FKA twigs sat with Gayle King at CBS This Morning to discuss the alleged abuse she experienced during her relationship with Shia LeBeouf. In December, Twigs filed a lawsuit against LeBeouf, alleging abuse and aggression. Speaking to King, Twigs discussed the beginning of his relationship with LeBeouf, claiming that he would jump over his residence to leave his little gifts. She said she found the gestures “very romantic” at the time, but started seeing the actor “testing [her] limits ”, and called his actions“ inadequate ”.
Subsequently, the FKA branches told King that LeBeouf became “physical” with her. She said that he “would push [her], and then he said, ‘You fell.’ ”In addition, branches recounted a story in which LeBeouf was speeding and reportedly threatened to crash the car with them inside. According to the branches, he was “accelerating on the highway and saying that if [she] left him – or, if [she] said it [she] didn’t love him and [she] was going to leave him – that he would break the car against the wall. “She reflected,” I thought, wow, he needs so much control over me that he prefers to kill us both. “
Later that night, LeBeouf choked sticks in public, the singer told Gayle King; branches discussed earlier in the night in question with The New York Times and ELLE. FKA twigs also reiterated the claim that LeBeouf made her kiss or touch him a number of times a day.
Shia LeBeouf, in emails to The New York Times, wrote that “many of these claims are not true”, but did not comment on the specific claims. “I’m ashamed of this story and I’m sorry for those I hurt,” he wrote. More recently, LeBeouf has formally denied FKA Twigs’ allegations in a court case.
