Chip and Joanna Gaines have no reason to leave their farmhouse in Waco.
The Victorian style home is set on 40 acres in the city they love. In addition, it features all the elements that made this HGTV couple famous in the first place. Chip and Joanna meticulously renovated the property, just as they do for homeowners in Top fastener, and now it looks like a dream.
However, one thing about your home needed to be changed – there was not enough space. The Gaines welcomed their fifth child in 2018, bringing the total number of families to 7. Now, they are undertaking a massive renovation to accommodate the larger group.
And Joanna made a special change in the kitchen that devoted fans are destined to copy.
Chip and Joanna Gaines set design trends in ‘Fixer Upper’

Nobody could predict how popular Top fastener on HGTV it was going to be. The audience connected with the Gaines’ sweet relationship and on-screen chemistry along with their natural talent. The couple really transformed the “worst houses in the best neighborhoods” from monotonous to fabulous.
And in doing so, they have influenced the world of home design in significant ways. Since then Top fastener it became a steamroller for HGTV, suddenly people became interested in the modern style of farmhouse decor that Joanna used to use. Shiplap walls, neutral furniture and large clocks have become more popular than ever.
The Gaines even launched their own branded product lines to meet demand. Your final design decision can change things again.

Top fastener ended in 2018, but recently returned to television as a reboot of the original. One of the side projects that Chip and Joanna are taking on involves expanding their family’s home.
“A few months ago, Jojo wanted to ‘add’ to the farmhouse – and of course I, as an idiot, agreed, but now look what she got us into,” said Chip during a home video recording.
The expansion is only part of the story, however. One of the minor changes that Joanna made was painting the kitchen cabinets dark green. This goes against the current trend of using white or light-colored cabinets for kitchens. Joanna’s kitchen looks so impressive with the dark cabinets against white countertops that her fans are almost certain to copy this design choice.
And the Top fastener The host said it was a sudden change. Joanna explained in a video clip that “she decided a little late in the game that she wanted to go ahead and repaint our cabinets”.
“I just wanted the space to really evolve with the new addition and I thought it was time for a change,” she said.
‘Fixer Upper: Welcome Home’ will show the renovation of the home of the Gaines
Joanna has already warned that her children may be absent from the program’s new iteration now that they are getting older. But Top fastener fans are likely to be happy to see detailed photos of the newly renovated farmhouse. Top Fixer: Welcome Home currently airs on Discovery +.
A teaser of the most recent episode showed Joanna’s renovated kitchen, as well as the newly expanded living room, which includes a vaulted ceiling and fireplace. Even though the HGTV host called the process “a real nightmare”, it seems that the finished product is worth the stress.
