Increase in wild encounters
Castform will appear more frequently in the wild throughout the event, alongside other Pokémon that tend to appear when it is raining or windy, such as Wingull and Ducklett. If you’re lucky, you can find a Castform Shiny Rainy Form!
Shiny Rainy Form Castform is great news, because it has never appeared in any Pokémon game before! This makes Castform the first Pokémon to shine on Pokémon GO before any game prior to Pokémon GO. Although Meltan made his debut on Pokémon GO, it was an entirely new Pokémon, while Castform was only available as a brilliant in its normal form in all other Pokémon games.
The brilliant sprites for the other forms of Castform were found by PokeMiners in 2020, and now we finally have news of the first one that arrives on Pokémon GO. Can we see more weather-themed weeks in the future to launch Sunny and Snowy? Who knows!
