FIRST LOOK: Plexiglass is installed on WEB SLINGERS – A Spider-Man adventure tour, height requirement revealed and other new details announced for the Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure

During the presentation of the D23 and the Walt Disney Imagineering Magical Milestones celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Disney California Adventure, some new details were shared on the campus of Avengers Campus by those working on the project.

As for the backstory, Imagineers said the land of the Avengers Campus was a chance to create a sort of “Tomorrowland” for Disney California Adventure, a land to celebrate the state’s ingenuity in places like Silicon Valley . Although it has stories connected to fictional inventors like Tony Stark and Hank Pym, they believe it captures the right spirit.

Most of the presentation focused on the new tour inside the land, WEB SLINGERS – A Spider-Man Adventure. Since Spider-Man was so important to guests of all ages, it was vital for Imagineers that they made an attraction that all guests could ride. This confirms that there is no height requirement to pilot the next WEB SLINGERS – A Spider-Man Adventure.

In a brief preview video, we also took our first look at the attraction’s real cargo area (concept art leaked some time ago, of course), with WEB SLINGR ether vehicles passing by. Yes, the acrylic is installed on a console where a cast member would be, so it looks like this attraction is ready to be opened in a world where security restrictions and protocols still exist. What’s really cool is that the plexiglass barrier seems to be a little worn, which means that the Imaginers took the trouble to try to modify it so that it didn’t look out of place.

Disney has just announced that the Avengers Campus for Disney California Adventure will not open with the park in late April, but will open in late 2021.
