First batch of Motorola Edge S devices ready for 5G runs out in two minutes

Last week, Motorola launched the Motorola Edge S in China through a flash sale. Sporting a different design from last year Edge and Edge + flagship, the device is equipped with a 6.7-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 2520. This produces a high and thin ratio of 21: 9 and the screen is updated 90 times per second (90 Hz) for smooth scrolling and animation. Under the hood, you’ll find the Snapdragon 870, which is slightly more powerful than the 2020 Snapdragon 865+.
There are three configurations to choose from, 6 GB of memory with 128 GB of storage (priced at $ 309), 8 GB of memory with 128 GB of storage ($ 371) and 8 GB of memory with 256 GB of storage ($ 432) . At the rear you will find four sensors, including a 64 MP primary sniper, a 16 MP ultra wide-angle camera, a 2 MP depth module and a time of flight (ToF) sensor. The front cameras feature an 8 MP snapper and a 16 MP ultra wide angle camera. A 5000mAh battery keeps the lights on and charges at 20W. The phone also monitors the user’s heart rate by examining facial blood vessels.

The Motorola Edge S was offered in blue and silver last week in China through a flash sale. On its Weibo website, Motorola announced that the entire 10,000 unit lot it was selling sold out in just two minutes. This also means more than 83 units sold per second. The next flash sale will take place on Tuesday, February 9, at 10 am local time.

Before the end of this quarter, Motorola is expected to launch this device in other markets where it will be known as the Motorola G100.
