The Miami Dolphins went from one of the worst NFL teams to a 10-6 team that lost the playoffs in just one offseason. His growth as a whole was tremendous and can be seen in all components of his team.
The Miami front office did a great job at the free agency and draft, their coaching was fantastic and, as a result, their team improved dramatically.
At the beginning of next season, the pressure will be on Miami to reach the playoffs. They have a good team, but not a great team.
With more than $ 25 million in capitalization space going to the free agency, the Dolphins can really make a splash.
Here are three free agent targets for the Dolphins heading into the next season.

1. Dolphins sign a Wide Receiver
The Dolphins haven’t had a legitimate # 1 wide receiver in a few years and last year it appeared.
Although Dolphins’ quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, is getting a lot of criticism for his average quarterback game, Miami’s home team is among the weakest in the NFL.
DeVante Parker has been solid for the Finns in recent years, but getting a real # 1 target on the outside can make this attack much more dynamic.
Allen Robinson is the biggest receiver towards free agency and is coming off an impressive season with the Chicago Bears.
Robinson is a big, strong receiver with great hands and solid running skills. He would be an excellent target for Tagovailoa next season. Your reliability as a pass catcher, as well as your huge catch radius, should correct any amateur inaccuracies in the contested catches.
Robinson had more than 1,100 consecutive yards, more than six seasons of touchdown with Mitchell Trubisky and Nick Foles throwing the ball at him in Chicago, imagine what he could do in Miami with Tagovailoa.
Allen Robinson should be the # 1 priority for Dolphins.
Cheaper alternative: Corey Davis
Corey Davis is coming out of his best season with the Titans as a WR2. Davis almost eclipsed the 1,000-yard reception by entering the end zone five times in the last season. He showed his ability to be a threat from the red zone and a profound threat to a team that was running focused.
Davis would be a fraction of Robinson’s cost and could still be the best receiver the Dolphins are looking for.
2. Dolphins sign a Running Back
The Dolphins started the season with Jordan Howard and Matt Breida breaking up before rolling in with Myles Gaskin as their main defense.
Regardless of who they played in defense, there is no doubt that the Dolphins would need an improvement in running back.
The Dolphins could go after Todd Gurley in freedom of action, which would give them a running back from all sides and a threat off the field.
A young quarterback’s best friend is a running back who manages to recover from the backfield. Gurley would add a dynamic element to the Dolphins’ attack.
Alternative option: Leonard Fournette
Fournette has been solid for the Bucs in the final games of the season, but has been quite disappointing since leaving Jacksonville.
Fournette may cost the same as Gurley, but he is unlikely to give the Dolphins the same output in passing attack.
3. Dolphins sign an external linebacker
The Dolphins’ defense was his team’s backbone last season. Coach Brian Flores is a defense coach and Kyle Van Noy is moving to a free agency, so the Dolphins are probably looking for a replacement.
Lavonte David would not be just a replacement, but an update.
David is a high IQ linebacker who excels at passing coverage. He is a great defender and covers a ton of ground when in coverage.
David would be a perfect fit for this defensive team focused on coverage.
Cheaper alternative: KJ Wright
KJ Wright has been a staple in the Seahawks defense for 10 seasons, but is set to reach the free agency at age 31, coming out of his weakest season since 2013.
Wright excels in the racing game and could give the Dolphins some versatility in the linebacker position.
Although a very capable linebacker, the old-fashioned run-stopper may not have as much value in the open market as David. It would be an incredible second option.

The Dolphins enter the off-season with two choices in the first round and an opportunity to make this squad one of the most complete in the NFL.
With an abundance of cap space and on the verge of a playoff spot, Dolphins will not only be active, but will be aggressive in acquiring a star player at the free agency.
