His infinitely sunny disposition has always been a welcome break from the cruelty of battle in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and his last victory in the 2021 Fire Emblem Heroes vote for “Choose Your Legends” is proof that he is finally getting the accolades it deserves. Hey, Guardian!
Gatekeeper already has many fans, including those who made him a playable character in Three Houses (and found his Charm attribute to be the highest in the game). With statistics like that, how could you not love him?
Of course, that means it’s the fifth consecutive year that Chrom – the protagonist of Fire Emblem: Awakening – has lost. He lost to Ike, Hector, Alm and Dimitri in the past, and now he lost to a guy who can’t even go to battle. Sorry, Chrom, but you’re not that cheerful.
The voting winners, Gatekeeper, Marth, Marianne and Eirika, will be added to Fire Emblem Heroes wearing “Choose Your Legends special outfits”. Will we finally see the Guardian’s eyes? I think we’ll find out.
