Final Fantasy XIV Online Patch 5.45 now available

Square Enix released the latest update for Final Fantasy XIV Online back on Friday as Patch 5.45 is now available in the game. The patch adds the latest chapter to the “Save the Queen” mission series, as you receive another great addition from the game’s creator Yasumi Matsuno (Final fantasy Tactics, Final Fantasy XII), the same man who wrote the Back to Ivalice alliance raid series in Stormblood. You will also continue the battle for Bozjan on the south front and engage in a new large-scale battle called Delubrum Reginae, which takes place in the ruins of Queen Gunnhildr’s kingdom under the deserts of the Bozja Citadel. We have all the details for you below.

  • Update on resistance weapon missions: “Save the Queen: Past to Rest” – The battle for the south front continues, and having failed to retake Castrum Lacus Litore, the chances of victory seem small for the Resistance. This exciting next chapter in the “Save the Queen” mission series continues the story written by renowned game designer Yasumi Matsuno.
  • New large-scale battle content: “Delubrum Reginae” – This new battle content includes a normal 24 player mode and wild 48 player high difficulty mode for players to undertake.
  • Resistance weapon updates – Players who advance through the “Save the Queen” quest line will be able to further upgrade their Resistance Weapons on two additional levels in Patch 5.45. The second level of update will also allow players to customize certain parameters on the weapon to match their playing style.
  • Blue Mage update – The blue wizard receives a series of new upgrades, including a level cap increased to 70, new blue magic to learn from enemies, new specific work equipment and additions to the Blue Wizard Register.
  • Skysteel tool update – Earth and Hand disciples can further update their Skysteel Tools to assist with creation and collection.
  • New Final Fantasy XIV Online emotes, hair styles, furniture, mounts, minions, fashion accessories and more.
