The news was released with a trailer in Presentation of Sony’s situation, which also included announcements for a new Oddworld game, as well as in-depth reviews of Deathloop, Kena: Bridge of Spirits and more. It is also one of many announcements that developer Square Enix made regarding Final Fantasy 7 on Thursday. He also revealed two mobile games: A real battle set before the events of Final Fantasy 7, and Ever Crisis, a mobile game that will cover the entire history of Final Fantasy 7, including prequel, sequels and spinoffs.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is not a true Final Fantasy 7 remake. Instead, take the first section of the PS1 game, set in the dystopian city of Midgar, and expand it with great success in your own game. Yuffie in the original joins the party after they leave Midgar, so she didn’t appear in last year’s game.

Square Enix is changing things by bringing Yuffie to Midgar so early, as can be seen in the trailer. The sneak peek from Intergrade also featured Weiss, a villain from Dirge of Cerberus, who followed Final Fantasy 7. Although if you finished Final Fantasy 7 Remake, you would know don’t expect the Remake project to mirror the original.

Square Enix is preparing Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2, with development starting before the release of Remake last year, but we do not have a deadline for its release. That is Furthermore busy with Final Fantasy 16, so the FF fans among us have a lot to look forward to.
