Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade adds Yuffie to the party

Final Fantasy 7 Remake was one of the biggest games of 2020, and is now getting a 2021 update. The game is coming to PlayStation 5 – but not just with 4K graphics, 60 frames per second.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, as the update is called, will be released worldwide on June 10. It includes the original game plus a kind of expansion, with the trailer showing scenes and gameplay with Yuffie, a popular character in Final Fantasy 7 who did not appear in Remake.

And the best news? If you own the PlayStation 4 version, you can get a free upgrade to Intergrade, including the “new episode” with Yuffie.

The news was released with a trailer in Presentation of Sony’s situation, which also included announcements for a new Oddworld game, as well as in-depth reviews of Deathloop, Kena: Bridge of Spirits and more. It is also one of many announcements that developer Square Enix made regarding Final Fantasy 7 on Thursday. He also revealed two mobile games: A real battle set before the events of Final Fantasy 7, and Ever Crisis, a mobile game that will cover the entire history of Final Fantasy 7, including prequel, sequels and spinoffs.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is not a true Final Fantasy 7 remake. Instead, take the first section of the PS1 game, set in the dystopian city of Midgar, and expand it with great success in your own game. Yuffie in the original joins the party after they leave Midgar, so she didn’t appear in last year’s game.
