FILLED: No Lee County COVID-19 vaccine markings remaining

LEE COUNTY, Florida – The 1,800 new consultations available this week for COVID-19 vaccines in Lee County were completed in just minutes.

The reservation was opened at 12 noon on Wednesday, January 13. Reserve slots are expected to fill up quickly.

The toll-free number was new after the state provider made system updates.

The new number was 866-200-3468. The call line did NOT open until noon on Wednesday, the county said. Several viewers contacted us saying that when they called at noon, they were told that all appointments were available. Others said they were asked to enter a code, which was not provided by the county.

Several people said they started calling shortly before noon, which the county advised not to do, but were told that the appointments had already been completed after 11:45 am.

A TTY line (telecommunications device for the deaf) was available for those with hearing impairments: 787-522-5904.

Appointments are scheduled for Thursday, January 14th and Friday, January 15th at the location near Southwest Florida International Airport, and only those who are able to make the appointments will be vaccinated.

Seniors aged 65 and over and health professionals are eligible to receive the vaccine.

There will be no more vaccine appointments for the rest of the week.

FDOH in Lee County is waiting for information on when and how much vaccine will be available next week.

The vaccination site is located east of I-75 near Daniels Parkway.
