Arika announced EX combat layer: another trait for Switch. It will be released in 2021.
EX combat layer: another trait is a separate title from EX combat layer. Gougis and dashes were replaced by new systems such as EX-Dash, EX-Arrow and EX-Illusion; some characters have been adjusted; and some moves have been revised.
The network code is also different. EX combat layer: another trait uses backward interrupt network code based on delay network code. Since the entry delay is disguised as variable frames for several frames, in cases of extreme delays, the character’s position can be corrected. Sometime after launch, Arika hopes to replace the network code with the “The Best of Both Games” network code, which is currently in testing and is based on rollback netcode.
More information will be announced on April 1st.
EX combat layer is now available for PlayStation 4, PC via Steam and arcades.
