Fenyx Rising now has a demo on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, Stadia and PC • Eurogamer.net

And the first A New God DLC went live.

If you’re curious about Ubisoft’s Greek mythology-inspired open-world adventure, Immortals: Fenyx Rising, but not curious enough to actually make a purchase, you may be interested in a newly released demo for Xbox, PlayStation, Switch , Stadia and PC.

Those who download the demo can experience Fenyx Rising’s vibrant mix of combat, puzzles and open-world exploration as part of a quest to discover the secret of cyclopes in an archipelago built specifically for the occasion.

You may find that you are passionate enough to look for the full game, although Christian Donlan of Eurogamer was not entirely convinced by the experience when he reviewed it last year. It’s pleasant enough at every moment, he calculated, but it never establishes enough of its own personality to rise above Ubisoft’s overly familiar design.

“Blame the paradoxically economical and infinitely redefined way in which the publisher makes all its huge, expansive and generous games,” he wrote, “but Immortals never find their own voice until the end. It is a skillful and lovingly made product, but it is unmistakably a product, and the best games of that genre look like genuine adventures. “

Those who liked Fenyx Rising, however, can play a little more starting today, through their newly released DLC A New God. This shows Fenyx exploring the Palace of Olympus in an attempt to overcome the Olympians’ Evidence and claim a place in the inner circle of the Greek pantheon.
