Female employee accuses Cuomo of feeling her

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (D) is facing another charge of misconduct – this time by an unidentified aide who claimed to the Albany Times Union on Wednesday that he “aggressively felt her in a sexually charged way”. Cuomo denies the claims.

Driving the news: The official said the incident occurred after she was “summoned to the governor’s mansion last year”. The Times Union reports that Cuomo “allegedly stuck his hand under his shirt and started stroking it”.

What is he saying: Cuomo in an emailed statement called the report “distressing”, but added, “I never did anything like that.”

The big picture: It is the latest in a series of allegations of sexual and professional misconduct by the governor in trouble, all of which he denies.

  • Cuomo is also facing a federal investigation into how to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic in New York’s nursing homes.
