Feeling more like spring later this week, with a few showers

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) – After a beautiful afternoon with temperatures in the 60’s, this evening will be cool. Temperatures drop to 40 degrees at night with increasing clouds. Points along the I-95 corridor are likely to fall in their thirties on Wednesday morning. The wind flow will shift east and southeast during the night and tomorrow bringing some clouds and maybe some rain. A strong storm system will take shape back to our west on New Year’s Eve, bringing the chance of some rains and much higher temperatures. The maxims will be in their 70s. This storm system will approach the area on New Year’s Day, increasing our chance of rain, especially at the end of the day. There will be a storm threat in parts of the Southeast, but it now looks like the best chance of a severe climate staying away from Lowcountry. The maxims will be in the mid-70s on New Year’s Day. This storm can stop near our coast, keeping the chance of rain next weekend. We will keep you informed!
