FDOH to administer COVID-19 vaccines in Collier County

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Department of Health in Collier County and the Healthcare Network will administer COVID-19 vaccines starting Wednesday, January 20.

DOH-Collier confirmed that people can start scheduling their appointments at 9 am on Monday, January 18. Appointments for the COVID-19 vaccine must be made on Eventbrite.

The COVID-19 vaccine site at North Collier Regional Park Soccer Fields, 15000 Livingston Road in Naples will be open on Wednesday, January 20 and Friday, January 22, according to the DOH-Collier. The venue will be open from 9 am to 4 pm, and people who have already made an appointment must arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled time.

This will be a drive-thru location for healthcare professionals with direct contact with the patient and anyone over 65, according to the DOH-Collier. Health professionals who receive the vaccine must provide identification indicating that they are health professionals.

Masks should be worn while people are waiting in their cars. DOH-Collier said that no reference is necessary and will cost nothing. Customers will be asked to complete the registration form before receiving the vaccine.

COVID-19 testing will also take place on Tuesday, January 19 at the Winn Dixie Mall, 1500 Lake Trafford Road in Immokalee, from 9 am to 3 pm or until testing capacity is reached.
