A FDA-approved COVID-19 test hit the Amazon market as cases of the virus continue to flood the country.
The DxTerity COVID-19 Saliva home collection kit, which has been authorized for emergency use, is available on Amazon.com through a third-party reseller.

The product appears to be the only take-home test available to date on Amazon. The e-commerce giant cannot predict whether and when more tests will be available.
The test, which has been authorized for use by individuals with and without symptoms of COVID-19, comes at a price. While a single package costs $ 110, a set of 10 will cost consumers $ 1,000.
Consumers can still take the test for free at selected health centers and pharmacies across the country. However, as cases increase and the queues outside the clinics for testing get longer, some may overpay for the safety and convenience of testing at home.
Before the holiday, residents across the country waited hours just to enter the clinics, further proving that the country’s testing system was unable to keep up with the virus.

The price of the DxTerity kit includes prepaid express freight and laboratory PCR testing, according to the list. The test results are also available 24 to 72 hours after the laboratory receives the sample.
However, Amazon is not alone in its efforts.
Walmart and Sam’s Club also launched a series of home test kits for online coronavirus that also cost a good deal of money.
