The FBI posted what appear to be electronic posters in Washington, DC, seeking information about anyone who participated in the Capitol violation on Wednesday.
Photos of bus stops shared by journalists on social media say “Seeking information” and include pictures of some protesters inside the United States Capitol. The posters also share a phone number to contact the FBI office in Washington, DC.

The posters come as the FBI has enlisted the help of the public in identifying individuals who were “actively instigating violence” on Wednesday. Tagency is accepting tips and digital media, like photos and videos, to help find anyone who may have violated federal law.
The Washington Post reported on Friday that the agency was investigating whether any of the protesters intended to harm legislators or Capitol officials.

Dozens of people were arrested after the riot and five died, including a Capitol police officer and a woman who was shot by a plainclothes officer from the Capitol. Three other people died after going through “medical emergencies” near the Capitol grounds.
