Dr. Anthony Fauci looked very gitty during his debut appearance on “The Rachel Maddow Show” on Friday night and suggested that the Trump administration previously “blocked” his participation on the MSNBC program.
“I’ve been wanting to go on your program for months and months,” Fauci confessed to the liberal star. “You have been asking me to go to your show for months and months and it just got blocked! I mean, let’s call it what it is! It just got blocked because they didn’t like the way you deal with things and no they didn’t want me connected. “

“I mean, it was so clear when [they] sent, ‘Why would you want to go to Rachel Maddow’s show?’ Well, because I like her and she’s very good. ‘It makes no difference. Don’t do that, ‘”Fauci continued giggling Maddow.
Fauci told Maddow that he does not think she will “see” efforts by the Biden government to prevent him from speaking to the press and that he will see “a lot of transparency” from the new leadership in Washington.
“You may not see everyone as often as you want, but you will not see deliberately retaining good people when the press asks for them,” explained Fauci.

Fauci, who was chosen by President Biden to be an adviser to the White House during the transition, previously indicated that working for the new president was “liberating”.
“I can say that I have no pleasure in being in a situation of contradiction with the president, so it was really something that you didn’t feel you could really say and there would be no repercussions on that,” he said Thursday. “The idea that you can come here and talk about what you know, what the evidence is and what science is, and know what it is – let science talk – is a somewhat liberating feeling.”
