Most people who want a PlayStation 5 still can’t. Sony was unable to meet the demand for its next-generation console, and eager gamers began scouring online stores for PS5 items in search of one. But the news spreads quickly when retail giants like Amazon and Best Buy get new inventory, and hordes of opportunistic third-party resellers and occasional website crashes have made locating a PS5 a frustrating task for many.
Inverse talked to some of Twitter’s top PS5 inventory trackers – GYX Deals, PS5 Drop and Spiel Times – who revealed an underdog reseller that may be your best chance of getting a new console.
Both GYX Offers and PS5 Drop agreed that Antonline is the most underrated retailer for stealing the PS5. The Atlanta-based regional retailer only offers packages ranging from $ 650 to $ 830, which usually include PlayStation Plus subscription cards, an extra DualSense controller and a camera.
PS5 Drop recommends Antonline due to the site’s robust protections against bots and scalpers. In the first month of the PS5 on the market, money changers supposedly sold over 32,000 PS5s via eBay. Bots continue to be the scourge of popular retailers like Best Buy and Walmart, making Antonline an attractive alternative for those who would buy additional items bundled anyway.
“I had never heard of Antonline before the launch of next generation consoles. Although their packages are expensive, they have one of the best bot protections in the world for drops,” said a PS5 Drop spokesman.
Inventory tracker GYX Deals also notes that the retailer outperforms large stores in another important aspect – “They seem to be shipping fast.”
Antonline takes three to five business days to ship the console, which is on par with Sony’s PlayStation Direct shipment. Other retailers, like Walmart, may take weeks to deliver the hardware to your door. Antonline found great success in his PS5 drops.
If you can’t afford to pay more than $ 500 for your PS5, the Spiel Times suggests keeping an eye on replacement accounts and giving yourself as many opportunities as possible to get lucky.
“We’ve had cases where someone started watching our broadcast and got a PS5 on the same day. In the meantime, there are people who have been with us for over a month and still don’t have a PS5. So it’s time and luck.”
The easiest way to increase your luck is to follow and set alerts for GYX Offers, PS5 Dropand Spiel Times on Twitter, as they regularly share PS5 inventory updates. Antonline it is another worthwhile follow-up, as the retailer usually notifies you in advance when the new supply will be available.
