Expected totals of snow jump like Storm Slams Massachusetts – NBC Boston

Heavy snow is falling in parts of New England and will continue for the next few hours on Sunday night.

A strip of snow stopped in the Boston metropolitan area. Within this range, snow fell from 7 to 10 centimeters per hour. Most of our forecast is on track, wait under this band.

If you are under the strip, visibility will drop below 400 meters. Localized quantities of 9 to 12 inches will be possible.

The net / snow ratio will be slightly lower on the coast, so even with heavy snow, snow rates are likely to vary between 1 and 2 inches per hour.

It’s still a bedtime brunch snowstorm for us – the timing hasn’t changed. Most of the snow that accumulates will end at dinner time.

If you want to start with morning cleaning, you can turn on the snow blower or a shovel and it will save you the hassle in the morning.

We’ll take a break on Monday, but it will be cold.

Another batch of snow will be possible on Tuesday. This round of snow will be just 1 to 3 inches or 2 to 4 inches. Unfortunately, the weather is bad and this can delay the daily commute from Tuesday night.

We will take another break on Wednesday and Thursday, before another storm from Thursday night to Friday morning. Some forecasting models are suggesting a significant event.
