Expanded eligibility for adults aged 65 and over at the Kent and Auburn community vaccination sites. The appointment blocks open Monday, March 1, 2021

History

The Kent and Auburn Public Health community vaccination sites have expanded eligibility to include adults aged 65 and over. The two sites will start providing vaccinations for people aged 65 and over from Monday, March 1. The sites will continue to provide vaccinations for adults in need of home care and their caregivers.

For this week starting March 1, Public Health may open additional hours as a result of the amount of vaccine received from the Washington State Department of Health. To check eligibility and apply for a spot this week, visit How to Get Vaccinated in King County. We anticipate that vacancies will be filled quickly. Public Health will continue to share updates on our COVID vaccine webpage as more vaccines become available.

At that time, registration is open to South King County residents who are:

  • Over 65 years OR
  • A caregiver or home health professional who cares for someone aged 50 or over who cannot live independently. The caregiver or home care worker does not have to be 50 years or older
  • Specific groups of people aged 50 or over. Those who are:
    • Unable to live independently and receive care from a caregiver, relative, caregiver at home or someone who works outside the home.
    • Living with AND taking care of relatives (examples include taking care of a grandchild, niece or nephew. This does not include parents who live with their children).

Registration information

Kent and Auburn’s COVID-19 vaccination sites are open Monday to Saturday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Vaccinations are by appointment only. Residents can sign up for a consultation on the Public Health vaccines website, Getting vaccinated in King County.

Currently, both vaccine supply and consultations are limited. Residents may experience delays or it may take some time for consultations to become available due to anticipated high demand. This will become easier as the vaccine supply increases.
