Exercise is a natural and effective anti-anxiety treatment, helping to relieve tension and stress and to increase physical and mental energy.
This is because when you exercise, your body releases chemicals called endorphins.
These endorphins cause a positive feeling in the body, which some say is similar to that of morphine, and act as a natural pain reliever.

Whether it’s 7 am before you go to work, a quick jog at lunch break, or even a walk around the block while your partner puts the kids in the bathtub, set aside some time from your hectic schedule just for you.

“Segmenting your day and identifying a time frame to complete your work can help you to guide your day, interrupt your workday, get started and keep you motivated.
Change location
Going out and walking is vital to our mental health, especially after being stranded at home for the past 12 months.
Martin said: “When working from home, interrupting the day by leaving the house and changing the environment can help you feel refreshed, energized and ready to tackle work at home again.
“A simple change of scenery, outdoors, in nature, preferably in daylight, really helps.”

Dr. Yelling explained: “This doesn’t have to be very difficult, but something that you can track and monitor your progress with.
“Wearables are a great way to do that. It will monitor your pace, running speed and heart rate, making personal progress visible and achievable. “
