Ex-TSA agent convicted of inducing woman to show breasts in LAX

LOS ANGELES – A former Transportation Security Administration officer who was accused of deceiving a traveler to show her breasts as she passed security at Los Angeles International Airport did not contest the false arrest on Friday, officials said.

Johnathon Lomeli filed the charge for a crime count and was sentenced to 60 days in prison in the county, 52 classes on sexual compulsion and two years of probation, the California attorney general’s office announced.

Lomeli was also prevented from working as a security guard.

Lomeli was accused of using fraud or deception to falsely arrest the woman in June 2019.

The woman told investigators that Lomeli told her that he had to look inside her bra to make sure she wasn’t hiding anything, made her hold the pants away from her waist for a check, and then said she would take her to a private room for further security screening, prosecutors said.

But when they were alone in the elevator, Lomeli told the woman she could do the showing there and ordered her to lift up her shirt and show her breasts, then looked down at her pants, she said.

Lomeli then told the woman he was free to go and added that she had nice breasts, officials said.
