Each month, PlayStation Plus subscribers get access to several new games that can be kept while they are subscribed to the service, which sells for $ 59.99 a year. Developed by Tripwire Interactive and Blindside Interactive, Maneater released in mid 2020. In the action RPG, players become a bull shark in search of revenge against a hunter named Scaly Pete for the death of his mother. Throughout the game, players attack and wreak havoc on humans using different skills and upgrades.

The PlayStation 4 version of Maneater holds 68 on Metacritic. While critics praised the ManeaterIn the original concept and ideas of, a common complaint was that the game was quite repetitive. There were additional complaints regarding technical problems. Sony’s blog post indicates that this game is only available to those who own a PlayStation 5 and it is unclear whether that version will be better or worse than the PlayStation 4 edition, although early reviews indicate that the changes are not significant. .

Developed by Eidos-Montréal and published by Square Enix, Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the latest installment in the long-running Lara Croft-focused action-adventure franchise. In this adventure, Lara goes in search of the legendary Inca city of Paititi. As the game progresses, Lara must face a paramilitary group called Trinity and work to prevent the apocalypse.
The PlayStation 4 version of Shadow of the Tomb Raider holds 75 on Metacritic. Although assessments are generally praised Shadow of the Tomb Raiderin gameplay, critics were often divided over the game’s plot and writing.

Developed by Spiders, GreedFall is a fantasy-action RPG that was originally released in 2019. In the game, players become a noble merchant named De Sardet, who is tasked with exploring the remote island of Teer Fradee and working with a variety of different factions while uses skills such as combat, diplomacy, deception and stealth. GreedFall features a number of fantasy elements.
The PlayStation 4 version of GreedFall holds 72 on Metacritic. Although reviewers were generally positive about GreedFallThe ideas and history of, combat and various other parts of the gaming experience have been subject to criticism.
How did PS Plus subscribers fare this month?
Overall, January presents three solid offers for those who like action-style games. Those who received Rise of the Tomb Raider as part of the selection of free games for July, I will certainly be happy to see Shadow of the Tomb Raider in this list, as long as they have not already purchased it. Although none of these games are particularly stellar, they are quite different in terms of content, which means that there is a good chance that at least one of them will prove satisfactory when the wait for February’s free games begins.
Worms Rumble, Just Cause 4, Rocket Arena and Bugsnax will be available from December 1st to January 4th, with the latter only for PlayStation 5 owners. Maneater, Shadow of the Tomb Raider and GreedFall will be available from January 5 to February 1.
