Everything in update 33 of Deep Rock Galactic: New Horizons

Deep Rock Galactic sends players into tunnels through alien worlds in search of minerals, scientific knowledge and lots of money. Update 33: New Frontiers will be released Thursday, and the patch will arrive on Xbox One on February 11.

There are two new biomes for the dwarves to explore, each with its own set of deadly enemies. Azure Weald is a beautiful, enemy-filled bioluminescent fungal area, while Hollow Bough is a region of Hoxxes VI with carnivorous enemies and organic environments. These maps and their unique challenges should shake things up.

Meanwhile, the game’s Elimination, Saving and Points Extraction modes are being adjusted by the developer. The elimination will have two new Dreadnought variants: a large Hiveguard and a pair of deadly twins. This will add some variety to the usual fights in this mode. Point Extraction has a new Minehead machine, and Salvage will allow players to repair broken MULE units to discover and explore the map more easily.

This is a good update for streamers, as there are eight new “streamer-safe” tracks on the lobby jukebox. Players can dance and have fun between games, and these streamer-safe songs guarantee that Twitch won’t hit players with a DMCA for dancing to copyrighted music.

The full patch notes can be found on the Steam developer page. Update 33 also includes some new cosmetics, including a free cap. According to Ghost Ship Games, Deep Rock Galactic sold more than 2 million units last year, since leaving early access.
